Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in Belarus on 25 February 2024.[1][2][3]
Background[edit]
The 2020–2021 Belarusian protests were a series of mass political demonstrations and protests against the Belarusian government and authoritarian President Alexander Lukashenko.[4]
Electoral system[edit]
The 110 members of the House of Representatives were elected from single-member constituencies by first-past-the-post voting.[5]

In late 2023, a large amount of Parties were either banned or were dissolved.
- Pro-government Belarusian Social Sporting Party, Belarusian Agrarian Party, Republican Party (Belarus), Social Democratic Party of Popular Accord and Belarusian Patriotic Party were dissolved or banned.
- While Opposition Belarusian Social Democratic Assembly, Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Assembly), Belarusian Left Party "A Just World", BPF Party, Belarusian Green Party and United Civic Party were banned.
